The angel was made during a drop-in day workshop led by Serena de la Hey in the summer of 2017 and is built over an earlier willow lady. Based in the Somerset Levels, Serena has worked all over the world on a range of projects. She is an innovator in the use of willow and is well known for her 'Willow Man', which stands close to the M5 motorway in Somerset.
