A view from a yard looking at old buildings from the back. On the left is a one windowed building over a passageway. Adjoined to it on the right at a right angle is the rest of the house. The building has a tiled roof and wooden beams set in plaster, and appears to be very old. Near the door is a boy in dark clothes and a cap, who is stooping to either gather sticks or chop wood.
