Urban landscape, townscape view of a bombed area. The foreground is littered with rubble, splintered wood, bricks, etc. In the middleground on the left is a long building behind a wall, with two rows of windows. In the centre is the side of a house or factory, and to the extreme right of the picture are the backs of houses and yards. Behind these buildings stands a taller one, with three floors; however, it is a hollow shell, with no roof, and there seems to be a fire inside.
