This is one of a small group of images by Forster in the Cardiff collection illustrating the post-war Abbey Steel Works (est. 1947) at Port Talbot. He was a well-known mid-twentieth-century commercial artist commissioned to do them as promotional and advertising material for the Steel Company of Wales.
