This painting was included in the Loan Exhibition of Women's Industries exhibition held in Bristol in 1885 organised by leading reformist Helen Blackburn. In fact, the work was strategically positioned in the entrance hall and thus was the first work visitors would see as they entered the Queen's Villa.
