A Franciscan friar is washing Christ's feet in a hospital. On the plinth behind Christ is a coat of arms: a hand holding a myrtle branch on a red ground. The inscription 'Seba. Bracius fecit fier[i]' means 'Sebastiano Bracci caused [the painting] to be made'. The arms may be his.
