A small upright basalt pillar, sited beside a tree near the Cenotaph. The pillar is part of the 7,000 Oaks project started by the sculptor in Germany in 1982. Each of the pillars was to be linked to the planting of a tree. The tree itself is seen as an artwork growing and changing. The project spread to a number of cities outside Germany.
