Kindly donated to the Hospital by the artist, the four abstract canvases by the artist in this collection were part of a series of 12. The other eight that complete the series are displayed at the Angmering School and in the artist's home town of Worthing. The canvases here work in relation to one another creating a continuous sequence of colour and pattern. Brighton has been a prolific producer of art since the 1980s when he became a professional painter, generously donating the majority of his work to public buildings and charitable bodies.
