Painter in oil of landscapes and portraits. Born in Glasgow, he studied at the School of Art there before a travelling scholarship enabled him to study widely in France and Italy. Exhibited RSA, RSW, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and in Canada. Glasgow Museum and Art Galleries hold his work. Lived in Glasgow, where he was a member of the Art Club.
