Portrait painter who favoured oil, and teacher, born in Purley, Surrey, married to the artist Gwilym Pritchard. Attended Eothen School, Caterham, where the art mistress Christine Walker was an inspiration, then studying under Bernard Meadows at Chelsea School of Art. For a time was a part-time teacher in schools and for Workers’ Educational Association. Was a member of RCamA, also exhibiting with Royal National Eisteddfod, NWG and elsewhere; showed with her husband, notably in Bangor at the Arts Festival and at the Art Gallery; and had solo shows at Tegfryn Art Gallery Menai Bridge, living for a time at Llanfaes, Anglesey. Her portraits included the composer William Mathias and the children of the Marquis and Marchioness of Anglesey. There was a retrospective at Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, Llandbedrog, 2001, with a 70th Birthday Celebratory Exhibition at Martin Tinney Gallery, Cardiff, in 2003.
