Landscape and portrait painter, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, who began night classes at Belfast School of Art, won a scholarship to study full-time and had early success at RHA. Also showed at Victor Waddington Galleries in Dublin, at Oireachtas there, at Anderson & McAuley Gallery in Belfast, widely in North America and at RUA of which he was a member. Ulster Museum, Armagh County Museum and Bangor Town Hall hold examples. Oriel Gallery, Dublin, held a memorial retrospective in 1984.
