Sculptor, born in Bath, Somerset, who studied art at Bath and Bristol Schools of Art. Exhibited RA, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, in the provinces, South America and at the Paris Salon. The RA and public galleries in Liverpool, Preston, Manchester and elsewhere hold his work. He was elected a fellow of the RBS. Arts Club member whose work is held by Tate Gallery. The Ferens Art Gallery, Hull, has Whitney-Smith’s sensitive 1911 bronze The Waking Child. Lived in London.
