Painter, graphic artist and teacher, born in London. He studied at Sutton and Cheam School of Art, 1943; Newport College of Art, 1944; Sutton and Cheam, 1945; Kingston School of Art, 1946; Slade School of Fine Art, 1949, under William Coldstream, Claude Rogers and F E McWilliam; and in Germany. Held a number of teaching appointments including Newport and Swansea Colleges of Art; Margam College of Further Education; art therapy in mental hospitals and special schools in Wales; extra-mural lecturer at University of Wales; and head of art at Atlantic College/United World College. He was a founder-member of Young Contemporaries, a member of SWG and president of the European Group. His wife was the artist and potter Mary White (Rollinson). Showed with SEA, Royal National Eisteddfod, ICA, Round House, SWE and elsewhere in mixed exhibitions.
