Artist, architect and teacher, born in Harrow, Middlesex, who was educated at the North London Collegiate School. She then studied architecture and worked for several London-based architects, later becoming a primary school teacher with special responsibility for art and children’s literature. As a mature student, from 1990 Webb gained an honours degree in fine art at the University of Hertfordshire (formerly St Albans School of Art). Webb, as a member of Five Women Artists Plus, took part in several group shows in England and France and had a first solo show at The Heifer Gallery in 1997. This, including acrylics on a fairly large scale, prints and drawings, continued the themes of her degree show: autobiographical pictures using childhood images of menacing rooks, and footballers.
