Painter in oil and acrylic, muralist and teacher, born in London. Studied at Lydney School of Art, Gloucester College of Art, 1948–52, and University College, Swansea, 1953. From 1953–9 taught at Ulster College of Art. He was a member of NS as well as being an associate of both RUA and RWA. Took part in many group shows in Britain and abroad and was included in Some of the Moderns, The Belgrave Gallery, 1988. Had many solo exhibitions, including David Hendriks Gallery in Dublin, Jersey Art Centre, Verhoff in Washington and Harrods. Arts Council of Northern Ireland holds his work. Lived latterly at Chagford, Devon.
