Painter and writer, born in Birkenhead, Cheshire. She studied at Cambridge University, where she obtained her Master of Arts degree and was a member of the School of Slavonic and Eastern Studies at London University. Waring’s father had been a geographer and she wrote several books on the Balkans. She studied at Manchester School of Art under Richard Glazier, at Cambridge School of Art, where her teachers included John Hookham, and in France. As well as showing widely in France she exhibited in London at RI, RBA, UA and Beaux Arts Gallery, where she had a series of one-man shows, as she did in Cambridge and Birmingham. Lived in Cambridge.
