
Artist in egg tempera, pencil, watercolour and oil, born in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. He studied at Stourbridge College of Art, on a foundation course, 1971–2, then obtained an honours degree in art and design, Wolverhampton Polytechnic, 1972–6, when he became a full-time artist. Was a member of Leicester Society of Artists, showing at Stamford Artists’ Gallery from 1980; Piccadilly Gallery from 1981; RA Summer Exhibitions from 1983; Goldmark Gallery, Uppingham, from 1988; and in 1991 appeared in East Midlands Artist of the Year, first prize winner in drawing and miniature painting.
