Worthy Vizard was baptised on 5th March 1843 at Bremhill, Wiltshire. The son of Thomas (a labourer and mason) and his wife Emma, he was married at St Saviour's parish church in Bath, on 31st May 1868, to Eliza Curtis. His occupation on the marriage certificate, as well as on the subsequent 1871 UK census return, was given as 'hair dresser'. By the time of the 1881 census, he was living at 6, North Parade, Bath, and his occupation had changed to 'artist'. He died at 60, Denmark Villas, Hove, Brighton, on 28th March 1904.
