
Artist in charcoal, oil, drypoint and watercolour, and part-time lecturer, born in London, who attended Cambridge College of Arts and Technology, 1978–82, teachers including Jon Harris. Group shows included South Bank Picture Show, from 1984; Hunting Group, Mall Galleries, from 1989; and Artwalks, Ipswich, from 1996. Had a series of solo shows at Trumpington Gallery, Cambridge, from 1982, later ones including Amalgam, from 1990, and Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich, 1998. This 1990–7 retrospective included work responding to Vass’ home environment around Holbrook, on the Shotley Peninsula, Suffolk. Richmond Borough Council holds his work.
