Lino-cut artist, born in Schwanden, Switzerland, educated in Lausanne, whose early interest in printmaking led her to study with Claude Flight who taught at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art. Also studied in Paris in the early 1930s with André Lhote, Gino Severini and Fernand Léger. During the second half of the 1930s Tschudi lived in Zürich, although she travelled widely on the continent and visited Flight in London. After World War II she returned permanently to Schwanden. Tschudi’s work was notable for its bold, modern, sport- and jazz- influenced designs, coloured and black-and-white, which after World War II tended to be softer, more abstract. Showed at Redfern and Ward Galleries, with WIAC and RSA, work being acquired by the British Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum.
