Painter, born in New Britain, Connecticut, America, who was educated at Arbroath High School. He attended Dundee College of Art, where his teachers included the landscape painter James McIntosh Patrick and Hugh Adam Crawford; then was at Patrick Allan-Fraser School of Art, Hospitalfield, Arbroath, under Ian Fleming; and finally in London with William Scott. He won an RSA Scholarship in 1954 and three years later a British Council Italian Government Scholarship. Showed RSA, Young Contemporaries, LG, Gimpel Fils, AIA and had a series of one-man shows in Italy and Switzerland. His work is held by public galleries in Brazil and Germany. Lived for some years in Carnoustie, Angus, Scotland. Modern British Artists posthumously showed his work.
