Painter and stained glass designer, born in Sheffield, son of the artist G T Steel. Studied at Sheffield School of Art, in Birmingham and London. Exhibited RA, RBA, RI, Leicester Galleries and Paris Salon. His work was bought by a number of provincial galleries, including Sheffield. Lived at Ashdon, Essex.
