Painter and teacher, born in London, where he studied at Wimbledon School of Art, 1951–5, then Slade School of Fine Art, teachers including William Coldstream. Went on to teach at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design/Arts and Technology. Showed at RA, RWA of which he was a council member and elsewhere in west of England. RWA and the Art Gallery and Museum in Cheltenham, near where he lived at Southam, owned examples.
