Painter, draughtsman and printmaker, born in Turin, Italy, and self-taught. As well as showing in Italy, he exhibited at the RA, Fine Art Society, RP, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, and Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. His work – which featured extensive use of the palette knife – was given one-man shows at venues including Fine Art Society, 1938, and the provinces. Was extensively illustrated in publications including Colour, Glasgow Evening News, The Times and The Observer. Lived in London. Tate Gallery archive holds his pencil self-portrait.
