Portrait painter, born and lived in London, notable for conversation pieces. He studied at Central School of Arts and Crafts under Rodrigo Moynihan, 1939, then at Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting, 1946–8, where teachers included Patrick Phillips. Was elected RP in 1973, also showing at RA. TRH The Prince of Wales, Duke of Edinburgh and Duke of Kent hold examples, which are also in collections across the continent and in America.
