Painter and teacher, born in Edinburgh, where he studied at the University and at the College of Art, 1968–74. Lectured in painting at University of Newcastle upon Tyne from 1977, from 1992 as head of fine art. Mixed shows included, in 1995, Hatton Gallery in Newcastle and 10 Artists from Great Britain, which toured Slovakia; and in 1995–6 John Moores Liverpool Exhibition. Robson had a first solo show at University of Nottingham in 1975, subsequent exhibitions there including one in 1993, following one at Hatton Gallery in 1992. Lived in Jesmond, Newcastle.
