Artist producing abstract paintings and reliefs, born in what is now Tanzania, who studied at Bournemouth College of Art, 1962–6, before spending 25 years in the advertising and music businesses, concentrating full-time on his painting from 1990. Took part in numerous mixed exhibitions, later ones including Gordon Hepworth Fine Art, Newton St Cyres, 2000; Belgrave Gallery, St Ives, 2001; and Innocent Fine Art, Bristol, 2003. Among solo and two-man shows were Bettles Gallery, Ringwood, from 1992; Cadogan Contemporary, from 1997; Link Gallery, King Alfred’s College, Winchester, from 2002; and Lynne Strover Gallery, Fen Ditton, and Mullan Gallery, Belfast, both 2003. In 2004, Robinson shared a show, Outside-in, with Katty McMurray at Lena Boyle showing at Flying Colours Gallery.
