Gloucester Museums Service Art Collection
Painter, notably of historical subjects, and illustrator, born in Aberdeen. Studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, and Royal Scottish Academy Schools in Edinburgh. Exhibited RA, RBA, RSA and in the House of Commons. Aberdeen and Reading art galleries hold his work, which is also in several American collections. He was life master at King’s College, in Kensington, London. Lived in London.
