Painter and draughtsman who trained at Brighton School of Art and Norwich School of Art. He lived in Lowestoft, Suffolk, and was noted for his beach scenes with figures. From the late 1970s Reay appeared in many mixed exhibitions, including Piccadilly Gallery, 1978; Aberbach Fine Art, 1980–1–2; Crane Kalman, 1982–4–6–8; Thackeray Gallery, 1983–5–7–8–9, where in 1990 he shared a show; and Fieldborne Gallery, 1988–9–90. Reay had a solo show at Alwin Gallery in 1978; Bohun Gallery, Henley-on-Thames, 1982; Bury Art Centre, Bury St Edmunds, 1988; Phoenix Gallery, Lavenham, 1988; and Chappel Galleries, Chappel, Essex, from 1989.
