Painter, printmaker and teacher, born in Walsall, Staffordshire, son of the painter Edward Derrick Pratt. Studied at Leeds College of Art, 1911–15, then at Royal College of Art, 1919–23. Served in Royal Artillery in World War I. From 1923–60 he was principal of Llanelli School of Art, in Wales. Showed RA, SWG and with Llanelli Art Society, being given a retrospective at Parc Howard Mansion, Llanelli, in 1969. CASW bought his work. In 1971 he moved to Harpenden, Hertfordshire, but was recorded as dying in St Albans.
