Painter and printmaker, born in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. She studied at Chelsea School of Art in late 1950s with Fred Brill. Her watercolours, lithographs and etchings dealt with country and domestic subjects. Selected exhibitions included Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, 1967; Green and Abbott from 1969; Parkin Gallery from 1976; Maclean Gallery from 1981; Austin/Desmond Fine Art, Sunninghill, 1988; and Rose Street Gallery, 1991. In 2005 Abbott and Holder showed Powell’s paintings and prints of Billingsgate Market.
