Self-taught painter, born in Mottram, Cheshire, who spent much of her life in Bala, Gwynedd, where she attended the grammar school. Showed at ROI, Hesketh Hubbard Society and elsewhere, solo exhibitions including Oldham Art Gallery & Museum and Usher Gallery, Lincoln. National Museum of Wales in Cardiff and National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, hold examples.
