Painter and draughtsman who specialised in painting the industrial north of England, born in Bolton, Lancashire, where she studied at the School of Art. She exhibited ROI, SWA, RI, Paris Salon and elsewhere. She is extensively represented in the collections of northern public galleries, including Manchester City Art Gallery, Salford and Oldham. A member of MAFA, with which she regularly exhibited. Lived for many years at Garstang, Lancashire, later at Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Cumbria.
