Artist who attended Mansfield College of Arts, 1970–3, and Birmingham Polytechnic, 1973–6. Group shows included Usher Gallery, Lincoln, and Birmingham Polytechnic, both 1984, and in 1989 Vortex Gallery and East End Open Studios, at Britannia Works. In 1987–8, Pickering was artist-in-residence at William Morris School in London.
