Sculptor, draughtsman and teacher, born in York, who studied at the Art School there, 1970–2; at Bristol Polytechnic, 1972–5; and Royal College of Art, 1975–7. Taught at Sheffield and Portsmouth Polytechnics, then was a fellow in the Hull College of Higher Education department of fine art. Exhibitions included Midland Group in Nottingham and State of Clay at Sunderland Arts Centre and tour, both 1978; Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery, 1979; and Clay Sculpture, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, 1980.
