Etcher who was an architect by profession. Born in Peebles, Scotland, he attended Rugby School and Edinburgh University, then the School of Applied Art there and in Paris. Exhibited RA, RSA, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Elected RSA in 1942. Lived in Edinburgh.
