Landscape painter, born in Manchester, who studied at Manchester School of Art under Walter Crane and Richard Willis, and in Italy. Exhibited RA, RSA, RSW, Fine Art Society and widely abroad, including Paris Salon. His work is owned by Manchester City Art Gallery and the Whitworth Art Gallery there, many other British galleries and in America and South Africa. Lived in Kirkcudbright, Scotland.
