Painter and draughtsman, born in London, where she continued to work. She studied at Wimbledon College of Art, 1984–7. Odonkor’s articulate drawings were included in the 1991–2 Norwich Gallery travelling show History and Identity. Of her work she said that she wished “by juxtaposing certain images which have symbolic references … to challenge prevailing attitudes and conventions”. Other exhibitions in which Odonkor’s work appeared included Creation for Liberation open shows in 1985–7 and The Image Employed, at Cornerhouse, Manchester, 1987. Arts Council holds her work.
