Painter of traditional, atmospheric English landscapes and meticulous studies of plants and flowers, born in Blisworth, Northamptonshire. He studied, lived and worked for most of his life in the county. Designed stamps for the General Post Office and Guernsey Post Office and was involved with The Shell Calendar for several years. Exhibited with RA, RI and Savage Fine Art, Haselbech, and had solo exhibitions in London, Northampton and Guernsey. In 1998, he was awarded an honorary master’s degree by The University College, Northampton.
