Painter, mainly in oil, and teacher, born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. She was educated privately, then studied at local School of Art, Birmingham College of Art, 1946–50, under Bernard Fleetwood-Walker, won a scholarship to study in Florence, then was at Royal Academy Schools, 1950–3, gaining a Leverhulme Scholarship. Neve used a Pointillist technique and her pictures had a strong pastoral and visionary quality. She showed at RA, Young Contemporaries, Leicester Galleries, WIAC, Redfern Gallery and was included in an exhibition of sacred paintings at St Botolph’s Church in 1991. Had solo show at New Art Centre in 1962, later ones including series at Montpelier Studio from 1987 and one at Robert Sandelson, 2002. Birmingham City Museum and Art Gallery holds her work.
