Painter and sculptor of portraits, working in oil, pastel; also landscapes and genre scenes. Educated in Yorkshire, Narraway went on to exhibit widely, including RA, RP, RBA, NEAC, PS, Paris Salon and provincial galleries. One-man show at Guildford House gallery, in Surrey. Narraway became noted for his highly professional portraits of celebrities, including HM The Queen (several versions in the 1970s), the musicians Ralph Vaughan Williams and Sir Malcolm Sargent, the actress Susan Hampshire and actor Tony Britton – in all, over 600. His pictures are in collections throughout the world. Lived at Holmbury St Mary, Dorking, Surrey.
