Sculptor, photographer and teacher. He was at Goldsmiths’ College School of Art, 1969–72, and Slade School of Fine Art, 1972–4. Won a number of awards including Sainsbury Award and Boise Scholarship, both 1974, Italian Government Bursaries in 1979–82 and in 1985 he was a Camden Open Prizewinner. Went on to teach at Kent Institute of Art & Design, Canterbury, and was director of studies at Heatherley School of Art. Group shows included Northern Young Contemporaries, 1973, LG from 1974, RA in 1977, Camden Annual in 1985 and Sculpture at Canterbury, 1992. From 1979 Mott had a series of solo shows of photographs, at Istituto Italiano de Cultura London and Dublin; University of Swansea in 1980; RIBA, 1986; and elsewhere.
