Versatile painter working with a number of subjects and styles, who delighted in the eclectic use of more abstract images, shapes and bold colour. He was born in Edinburgh, a nephew of the painter Alberto Morrocco. Jack studied under him at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, also with David McClure and Jack Knox. Group shows included the RSA; Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts; Compass Gallery, Glasgow; Thompson’s Gallery; and with Forbes and Turner Galleries, New York, America. Among solo exhibitions were Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh; Main Fine Art, Glasgow; and Myrtle Mill Gallery, Aberdeen. British and foreign collections held examples.
