Painter, illustrator and teacher, born in Landywood, Staffordshire. He was self-taught as a painter, but spent two years at Walsall School of Art studying graphic design. He became a draughtsman in Tower Hamlets’ planning department. Joined RBA and ROI in 1984 and was also a member of Chelsea Art Society. Showed at RA, RI, NEAC, RSMA, Paris Salon, Guildhall Art Gallery, National Museum of Wales in Cardiff, Whitechapel Art Gallery, Royal Festival Hall and many provincial galleries. In 1974 won first prize at Lord Mayor of London’s Art Award Exhibition and won several other awards. Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield holds his work as well as London Boroughs of Islington and Tower Hamlets. Lived in London.
