Painter and printmaker, born in Wales, who grew up in the Forest of Dean. She studied foundation at Cheltenham College of Art, 1987–8; graduated from Falmouth School of Art, 1988–91; the Slade School of Fine Art, 1992–4; and the British School at Rome, 1994–5. Awards included a Slade Bursary, 1994; Abbey Major Scholarship, 1994–5; and RA Summer Exhibition, M&G Group Prize, 1998. In 1999, she was artist-in-residence at Sinji Vrh, Slovenia, in 2002 at Gloucester Cathedral, and in 2004 at Bleddfa Art Centre, Powys. Mixed exhibitions included Fresh Art, Business Design Centre, Islington, from 1991; Making A Mark, Mall Galleries, 1996; Chris Evans Gallery Summer Show, 1998; and A Book of Maps, Dennis Potter Room, Ross-on-Wye Public Library, 2003.
