Painter, born in London, daughter of the artist Otway McCannell. She was married to the artist Peter Rees Roberts, their three sons – Tristan, Marcus and Lucien – all being artists. Ursula studied at Farnham School of Art, 1939–42, then at Royal College of Art, 1942–4, where she transferred to the school of design under Ernest Tristram, leaving with a diploma in mural painting. As early as 1934 had shared a show with her father at Wertheim Gallery. Over the years she had many further shows, including Jack Bilbo’s Modern Art Gallery, Ashgate Gallery in Farnham, Thackeray Gallery, Seen Gallery and Clifton Fine Art. Also appeared in mixed shows at Redfern Gallery, RA, Leicester Galleries and Gimpel Fils. In 1989 England & Co included her in a three generations of McCannells show.
