Artist, notably a printmaker, and teacher, born in Aldershot, Hampshire, as Richard Alan Lumsden. He attended the Technical High School in Cheltenham, 1949–53, then the art school there, 1953–7, and after National Service in the Middle East was at London University Institute of Education, 1959–60. Teaching included Chester School of Art. Exhibitions included Nottingham and Leeds Playhouses, Pictures for Schools at RA and WAC tour The Probity of Art, 1980. Many public galleries, including Dudley, Doncaster, Hull, Nottingham and Sunderland, hold examples. Lived in Bersham, near Wrexham, Clwyd.
