Alice Lindley-Millican [also known as Mrs. Albert Millican] was born Alice Lindley in 1885 and studied at Manchester School of Art in Manchester, England (c.1908-12). She was active as a sculptor from the early 1900s until at least the late 1920s and between 1908-22 exhibited at the Royal Academy in London; Manchester City Art Gallery; the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool; the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol; and at the Royal Cambrian Academy in Conwy, Wales. She was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors (ARBS) in 1928. Her address was given as The Grove, Godley, Manchester (1908); The Lilacs, Mottram-in-Longendale, Manchester (1915); 52 Redcliffe Road, South Kensington, London (1923); and The Three Arts Club, 19a Marylebone Road, London (1927, 1928).
