Painter, printmaker and teacher, born in Bolton, Lancashire, who studied in Paris. He settled in Bury, Lancashire, where he was head of the School of Art. Showed at RA, RCamA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and at Manchester City Art Gallery which holds his still life Chinese Pottery, oil on canvas, of 1931.
