Painter, born in London, who gained an honours degree in humanities from Middlesex Polytechnic, 1979–82, then was at Chelsea College of Art, 1989–94. Exhibitions included Summer Exhibition at University Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne, 1993; Small Works at Argile Gallery and Spirit of Place, Piece Hall Gallery in Halifax, both 1994; Tricycle Gallery and Pacesetters at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery, both 1995; and New Contemporaries, at Tate Gallery, Liverpool and Camden Arts Centre, 1996.
